How to Add Tags to Your Rust Server

Tags for Rust servers are a unique way to show potential players the type of server you are running. With multiple preset options available, you’ll be able to promote your server to the players you want!

ADD NEW TAGS OR UPDATE EXISTING TAGS ON YOUR RUST SERVER

  1. Make sure you are an Admin on your Rust Server.
  2. Press F1 in-game to bring up your console and type server.tags "builds, creative, training" and hit Enter - replace with the tags that you want with a list of available tags that can be found on the Rust Wiki.

  3. Enter server.writecfg and hit Enter.

  4. Your new tags should be automatically displayed within a minute. If they do not try restarting your server.
