How to Backup and Restore Your Terraria Server

NOTE: Due to how Terraria works, player data is stored on your own computer. This means that if your character files are corrupted on your computer, it won’t be possible to restore them from your server backup.

BACKUP YOUR TERRARIA SERVER

  1. Log in to your server's control panel. If you have more than one server, select the server that you would like to backup.
  2. Stop your server if it is currently running.
  3. Navigate to Files > Backup.
  4. Press the Start button.
  5. The Backup done message will appear after a few moments, which indicates that your server backed up successfully.

RESTORE YOUR TERRARIA SERVER
