How To Install VPPAdminTools On Your DayZ Server

VPPAdminTools is a workshop mod that adds simple and customisable admin tools with a GUI. It expands the default command list for DayZ considerably, by adding commands like; Teleport, heal, refuel, kill, changing weather, changing time, free cam and more!

It's a great tool to assist Administrators with server maintenance, whilst being very user-friendly and easy to use.

#Installing VPPAdminTools

There are multiple steps and a dependency required to install VPPAdminTools. You will be required to upload the mod server files to your server files and then edit your server settings to activate the mod.

1. Subscribe to VPPAdminTools and Community Framework.

2. Launch DayZ.

3. Navigate to Mods > Local mod.

4. You should be directed to \Steam\steamapps\common\DayZ\!Workshop, locate and select the @CF and @VPPAdminTools folders.

5. Access your control panel and Stop your server.

6. Navigate to your Server Files.

7. Upload both the @CF and @VPPAdminTools folders to the base directory.

8. Each of these folders will have a keys folder inside, both containing a .bikey file. Move each of these to your server's /keys directory.

• @CF - Jacob_Mango_V3.bikey

• @VPPAdminTools - VPP.bikey

9. Navigate to your main Server Files. Locate and open the dayz.properties file in your server files.

10. Enter @CF;@VPPAdminTools into the Mods field.

11. Save and Start your server.

#Assigning Super Admins

Now that you have installed the mods and generated its server files, you can now give admin permissions to players.

1. Within your server files, navigate to /profiles/VPPAdminTools/Permissions/SuperAdmins.

2. Open SuperAdmins.txt.

3. Remove the line of text, and enter the steam64ID of each player you wish to be admin. Each input requires a new line.

4. Save this file.

5. Navigate to /profiles/VPPAdminTools/Permissions, and open credentials.txt.

6. Remove the first line of text, and enter an Admin Password.

7. Save this file and Restart your server.

#Using VPPAdminTools

Once your server has restarted, you are ready to connect and utilise VPPAdminTools.

1. Connect to your server.

2. Press the ESC key and navigate to your keybindings.

3. VPP Will have its own keybindings list. The following steps will follow the default keybindings.

4. Press the End key and enter your admin password.

5. Press the Home key to open the VPP Admin Tool.

You now have full access to admin commands, allowing you to further administrate your server.
