How to Change the World Seed and Size on Your Rust Server

The world size and seed determine how your Rust map is procedurally generated. Different values will return different results. You can use this website for different seeds and sizes http://playrust.io/gallery/. This article will show you how to change these values and regenerate your Rust map.

Important

Please note that if you already have a map generated, you will need to reset it before you can continue with this guide. You can find our guide on how to do this here.

#Change the World Seed and Size

To change your Rust world's seed and size, you can follow these steps:

  1. Open your server control panel.

  2. Navigate to Config tab and edit Rust Server Settings.

  1. Change World Size to the desired value (MAX 6,000)

  2. Change Seed to the desired value

  3. Click Save and Start the server.

If you have followed the above steps correctly, you should have a newly generated world to use. Enjoy!
