How To Add A GSLT Key To Your Game Server

In order to use and join most Source servers, and many Steam servers, you will need to set a GSLT key first. Without setting it, your server will not be available to players or will be shown lower in the public server listing. --- Why GSLT Keys Are Required Many games require you to have what is known as a Game Server Login Token to run your server. This is done to ensure that servers are created by real people and to hold accountability to the owner if those servers violate the game's Server's Terms of Service. In order to be able to generate a GSLT, you must have a Steam account which: Is not banned or blocked. Is not limited. Has a qualifying registered phone attached. Owns the game for the server you are making a key for. Has not reached the cap of 1,000 GSLT keys. If your server is found to be breaking Valve's ToS, the server and your linked Steam account may be banned by Valve. --- How To Get A GSLT Key You will be able to get a GSLT Key by creating a new game server account. 1. Log into the Steam Community website. 2. Navigate to Steam Game Servers Account. 3. At the bottom of the page, fill out the App ID value of the game. You can find the game App ID by navigating to steamdb.info and searching for your game. 4. Add a memo or note if you want, and click Create. 5. Your GSLT key is the Login Token that will appear. How To Add Your GSLT Key You will be able to add your GSLT Key in your server settings config file. 1. Login to your control panel. 2. Navigate to the Config tab on the top menu. 3. Open the game's server settings config file. 4. Add your key to the option and click Save & Restart. Once you’ve added the GSLT key and completed all the steps, players will be able to see your server in the public listing.

Frequently Asked Questions (Knowledgebase Articles)

If you would like to find out more, head over to our FAQ Page. --- How are your servers so cheap? We work on a different business model than most hosts - we have very small margins, however we operate on a much larger scale. We make a profit by selling a large amount of servers for a smaller price, rather than fewer servers for a higher price. Additionally, we lease our servers in bulk and for a long period of time, which allows our expenses to be discounted. How does the IP look, and can I get a custom IP from Shockbyte? By default, the IP will be in the format of a regular IP (xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:port). The port at the end can be removed by ordering a Dedicated IP. It is possible to create a free subdomain for your server at our Subdomain Creator. Are there any coupon codes available? Because our pricing is already extremely low, we don't frequently run sales. However, you can keep up to date with any coupon codes on our Twitter. What payment methods do you accept? Currently we only accept payments via PayPal, Paymentwall, and Credit/Debit Card. For more information, please check our FAQ page. If you require any further assistance, please contact our support.

Navigate to the Shockbyte Panel and open up your server. 2. Click the overflow menu in the top-right corner of your console. 3. Click the Share Log button. After clicking the Share Log button, a copy of your server console will be saved and a sharable link will automatically be copied to your clipboard.
