Griefing is a form of disruption that can happen in Minecraft, it's a major worry for many server owners as it could lead to their server being destroyed and cause players to stop playing on the server. GriefDefender is a paid Spigot plugin which aims to provide the best preventative measures for griefing on servers. How to Install Any Technic Modpack

This guide explains how to install any Technic modpack onto your server. Want to start a new server? Discover our Modded Minecraft Server Hosting plans. --- Installing Any Technic Modpack 1. Find the modpack you wish to install on the Technic website. 2. Look for the 'Server Download' button on the modpack's page - This isn't available for all modpacks, so if there is no available server pack, continue to step 3. If there is a 'Server Download' button for your modpack, download the files to a folder on your computer and unzip the files by right-clicking the .zip file, then selecting 'Extract Here'. Once the files are extracted, skip to step 9. 3. If there is no 'Server Download' button, find the Minecraft Version of the modpack, located on the modpack's page. 4. Install the latest version of Forge on your server, for your required Minecraft Version. For example, if the Modpack was for Minecraft version 1.7.10, download the latest version of Forge 1.7.10. 5. If you haven't already, Download and install the Technic Launcher on your computer. 6. Open the Technic Launcher and login, select the 'Modpacks' tab and search for your desired modpack. 7. Once you've found the modpack you'd like to use, click 'Install' and wait for the files to finish downloading. 8. Once downloaded, select 'Modpack Options', then select 'Open'. This will open the directory of the modpack files on your computer. 9. If you found the 'Server Download' button, continue from this step. You should now see the folder containing your modpack files. If you just completed step 8, skip this step. If you used the 'Server Download' button, find the forge.jar and rename it to "custom.jar". On your control panel, upload the contents of the modpack files to the base directory of your server files. 11. How to Install Any Feed The Beast (FTB) Modpack

Feed The Beast (FTB) are a group of modpack creators that own some of the most popular modpacks ever created for Minecraft. They provide a wide selection of modpacks that cover all genres. Discover our Modded Minecraft server hosting plans. --- Download Server Files Using the Feed The Beast Website An alternative to using the FTB App to gain the server files is to use the FTB website. 1. Visit the Feed The Beast website and click the Modpacks tab. 2. Find and open the modpack you wish to install. In this tutorial, we will install FTB Endeavour. 3. Click on Versions, then below click the operating system you are using next to Server Files. 4. Save the downloaded file into a new folder on your computer. Download Server Files Using the FTB App Before you can install the modpack, you are required to download the server files using the FTB App. 1. Download and open the FTB App. 2. Click Browse on the left sidebar to search for your modpack. 3. Type in the search box to locate your modpack. 4. Click Versions. 6. Select the version you wish to use and click the Server files button at the top right. The latest version of your modpack is displayed by default. 7. Save the downloaded file. --- Running The Installer and Uploading Server Files Once the Installer has been downloaded, you are required to run it to retrieve the server files. 1. Run the installer file you downloaded. A terminal prompt will open. 2. After , press Enter on your keyboard to install the files in your current directory. Then, press y, followed by Enter to accept the warning. 3. Press y followed by Enter again to continue to install the modpack. 4. Once the installer is finished, it will close to a folder containing the downloaded server files. 5. Rename the Forge server file from to . The custom.jar will vary depending on the version of Minecraft you will be playing. 6. Delete the file and any or files. 7. On your control panel, upload the contents of this folder to your server file directory via the Files tab. 8. Change the Server Type to Custom JAR. Want to start a new server? Discover our Modded Minecraft server hosting plans. --- Installing Any ATLauncher Modpack This guide explains how to install any ATLauncher modpack onto your server. 1. Ensure you have ATLauncher installed on your computer. If you don't, you can install it at: https://www.atlauncher.com/downloads 2. Open ATLauncher on your computer and locate the modpack you wish to install. 3. Select 'Create Server' for the modpack you wish to install. 4. Select the version of the modpack you wish to install (usually the latest version). This must match the version of the modpack you have installed on your computer. 5. Select any additional mods you wish to install. If you're unsure, we recommend choosing either 'Select Recommended' or none. Once you have selected the mods, click 'Install'. 6. Once the modpack files have finished downloading to your computer, open the directory on your computer where ATLauncher is installed, and then open the 'Servers' directory. In this directory, find the server folder you just created and open it. You should now be looking at a folder that contains all of your modpack files. 7. Rename the "forge-1.12.2-14.23.1.2566-universal.jar" (or similarly named) file to "custom.jar". 8. On your control panel, navigate to the Files tab and upload the contents of the mods directory (not the directory itself) to the base directory of your server The and files can be deleted as they are not required. 9. Changing Your Plugins Directory for Sponge

SpongeForge is a mod that allows you to run Sponge plugins alongside your Forge mods. With much better compatibility than SpigotForge server types, SpongeForge is the most popular system to use for 1.12.2 servers today. One of the differences between Sponge and Spigot is how plugins are initially stored. Sponge stores plugins inside of the /mods folder, whereas Spigot stores them inside of /plugins. How to Use Buycraft / Tebex on Your Server (Monetisation)

Tebex, formerly known as Buycraft, is the primary webstore application used across thousands of servers to make money by selling various in-game perks such as donator ranks or cosmetic items. This guide will show you how to get your server set up with Tebex and make your first package. --- Initial Setup 1. Go to Tebex's website. You can find Tebex's website over at https://www.tebex.io While Tebex has support for many games, including ARK: Survival Evolved and Rust, we will be using Minecraft: Java Edition as our example. 2. Enter your email address in the shown box and click "I'm a Server Owner" to begin the account creation process. 3. After signing up for an account, head to the Projects tab. 4. Click on the Create Your First Webstore button. 5. Click on "I would like to Monetize my Game Server or Mods". 6. Click on Minecraft. 7. Click on Minecraft: Java Edition, then on the Continue button. 8. Name your Tebex store and the URL of your website (if applicable). 9. Install the Tebex plugin/mod onto your server and follow the instructions provided. Creating Your First Item 1. Click on the Packages tab on the side-bar. 2. Click on the Add New button, then Package. 3. The full item editing display will be shown, and you can now enter the item's details. Name: This is the item's name to be shown both in-store and in-game. This should be something short and descriptive, such as VIP Ticket. Description: This is a longer description of the item, normally containing details about what it gives you or what the item does. For example, the description for a donator rank could contain the perks of the donator rank, such as access to specific cosmetics. Price: This is the price of the item in the currency that you chose for your store. Purchase Type: This defines whether or not the purchase is a one-time payment or a recurring payment (subscription). Category: Tebex allows you to create categories for your store that can be used to sort and order specific types of items; this defines what category the new item will go into. Global Limit: This allows you to set a limit on how many times the item can be purchased in total. User Limit: This allows you to set a limit on how many times the item can be purchased by each user. Servers: These are the servers that your items will apply to. This can be useful for having different items per server, or for having items (such as ranks) that work across multiple servers on your network (if applicable) 4. Click Create and publish your item. Players will be able to open the shop with the /buy command.
