Once your Soulmask server is set up and configured how you would like it, you will be able to connect. There are a couple methods of connection, depending on your preferred choice. Currently, it is recommended to direct connect to your server using your server address, as the community server list has poor filtering options. --- Obtaining your Server IP In order to connect to your server, you will need to know both the server IP and port. These can both be found in your server's Shockbyte control panel. Once logged in, you will be able to find your server's IP and port next to the Server Address. The IP is the numbers before the colon (:), while the port is the numbers following the colon (:). Direct Connecting to your Soulmask Server You can direct connect to your server from the in-game server browser, using the server address. 1. Launch Soulmask. 2. Click Online Game. 3. Click Connect to the server directly. 4. Enter your server IP and port in the specified fields. 5. If your server has a password configured, type it into the password field. If you don't have a password configured, leave it empty. 6. Click the Confirm button to begin connecting to your server. And that’s it! You’re now ready to dive into your Soulmask server and start your adventure.

How to Enable/Disable PvP on your Soulmask Server
Soulmask servers are set to PvE, or "Player vs. Environment" mode by default. This means that players cannot engage in combat with one-another. That being said, you can easily change between PvE and PvP, or "Player vs. Player" modes very easily on a Shockbyte Soulmask server. --- Changing the Gamemode You can configure game type in your Soulmask server settings file, located on your server's control panel. 1. How to Configure your Soulmask Server
A benefit of owning a Soulmask dedicated server is the configuration options offered for many of the game features. Allowing server owners to customise the experience their server offers. --- Changing your Config Settings You can configure the main Soulmask server settings from your Soulmask Server Settings file, found on your server's control panel. 1. Access your Control Panel and Stop your server. 2. Navigate to the Config tab and select the Soulmask Server Config file on the left-hand side. 3. After making your desired changes, save and restart your server to ensure the new changes apply. --- List of Configurations The table below lists all the available settings found in the Soulmask Server Settings file. | Setting | Description | | -------- | ------- | | Server Name | The name displayed in the Soulmask server browser. Make it unique so players can identify your server. | | Map | The map this server will run. Each map has its own independent save file. | | Gamemode | Sets whether players can attack each other. PvE is cooperative - players cannot damage each other. PvP enables full player combat and base raiding. | | Max Tribe Members | Maximum number of players allowed in a single tribe. Useful on PvP servers to limit large tribe dominance. (default=6) | | Password | Password required to join your server. Not setting a password will result in your server being public. | | Admin Password | The password used to gain admin access in-game. Used to manage the server, run commands, and adjust settings. Keep this secure. | | Startup World Backup | Creates a snapshot of your world save each time the server starts. Recommended before restarts and updates so you always have a clean restore point. | | Server ID | Only needed for cross-map clusters. 1 = main server, 2 = client server. Leave at 0 for standalone. | | Main Server Address | Only required when Server ID is 2. Enter the main server's IP and cluster port in the format IP:PORT (e.g. 123.456.789.0:21005). | | Cross Server Mode | Allows players to travel to the paired server via the in-game Stargate portal. How To Ban Players From Your Soulmask Server
It is possible for a Soulmask server Administrator to ban disruptive or unwanted players from their server using the in-game ban command. --- Banning a Player To ban a player on your Soulmask server, you must know their Steam ID first. If you don't already know their Steam ID, feel free to refer to this guide for steps on how to retrieve it. 1. Connect to your Soulmask server as an admin. 2. Press the tilde (\gm EnableServerPermissionList 1 1gm AddServerPermissionList 1 <Steam ID) key twice (Below the ESC key on your keyboard) to open the in-game console. 3. Enter the command to remove the player from the ban list. After sending this command, the player will be able to reconnect to the server once again.
