Login to your Control Panel and Stop the server. 2. Navigate to Backups. 3. Select your current instance, give the backup a name, and press Create Backup. A message will appear at the top of the page once the backup has been created. 4. Follow our guide on resetting your server files, and delete all server files. --- Changing Your Server Version to Experimental Mode You can set your server to Experimental Mode via your Control Panel’s Server Type Selector. 1. Click on your current server type to open the selector. 2. Set your Server Type to Satisfactory Experimental, and save changes. 3. Start your server. Open your game launcher, and click Library. For Steam Users 2. Locate and right-click Satisfactory, then select Properties. 3. Click on Betas and opt-in for the experimental beta. For Epic Games Users 2. Select Satisfactory Experimental and install the game. 3. Wait for it to install and Start the game. Your server is now set up in Experimental Mode. How To Make Your Satisfactory Server Private
Satisfactory allows you to restrict who can join your server by requiring a client password to join. Before getting started, you will need to handle these two steps first: 1. Add your Server to the Server Manager. 2. Authenticate yourself as an administrator. Setting a Server Password You can set a client password for your server using the Satisfactory Server Manager. 1. Navigate to the Server Manager on the main menu. 2. On the left-hand side, click your server name. 3. Click Server Settings. 4. Click Change password under Player password protection. 5. Enter a password for players to join (or leave blank to allow anyone to join), and click Confirm. To find the IP address of your server, you will need to log in to your control panel. Once you’ve logged into your control panel, copy your server IP and port at IP Address. Enter your server IP into the box, and port into the box. Press Confirm. 4. How To Change The Starting Area Of Your Satisfactory Server
When you first add a server to your Server Manager, you can select your starting area in the Create Game tab. There are four starting areas to choose from, these are: Grass Fields Ideal for first-time pioneers The first viable building location FICSIT had found, standing out because of its open and relatively flat fields. Considering the distances between mining locations, building outposts and/or large transportation lines may be necessary eventually. Rocky Desert Suitable for first-time pioneers The textbook example of a FICSIT-approved building location, with balanced resources, space, and distances. Foliage and water locations are rare and contained, making initial power setups challenging. Once you have selected your starting area, enter a session name and press Create Game.
