How To Add Admins To Your SCUM Server

Granting admin privileges on your SCUM server lets you manage players in game, including kicking, banning, teleporting, spawning items, and more. Admin rights are assigned by adding a player’s SteamID64 to the server’s AdminUsers.ini file. --- Adding a Player as Admin 1. Access your Control Panel and Stop your server. 2. Go to the Files tab. 3. In the search bar, type AdminUsers.ini and open the file. - File path reference: 4. Add the player’s SteamID64. One ID per line. 5. Save the file, then Start your server. Some SCUM server owners may want to keep their server private - whether to play with a small group of friends or restrict access to trusted players only. You can do this by setting a server password, which players will be required to enter before joining. --- Configuring a Server Password Setting a password for your SCUM server is simple and can be done through the configuration panel. 1. Access your control panel. 2. Stop your server before making any changes. 3. Navigate to the Config tab. 4. Find the setting labeled Server Password. 5. Enter your desired password. 6. Click Save, then Start your server to apply the changes. The next time someone tries to connect, they’ll be prompted to enter the password - making your SCUM server private and secure.

How To Join Your SCUM Server

Jumping into your SCUM server lets you and your friends experience the thrill of survival, exploration, and base-building in a shared open world. You can join your server through SCUM’s in-game browser or by connecting directly with your server’s IP and port. It is also useful to know your server's name as defined in the Config files. Launch SCUM via your Steam Library. 2. From the main menu, select Multi Play. 3. Look to the left side of the screen for the Direct Connect field. 4. Enter your server’s IP and port, remembering to add +2 to the port number. - Example: If your panel shows , enter . 5. Click Connect. 6. Create your character and begin playing. Method 2: Using the In-Game Server List You can also use SCUM’s built-in server browser to find and join your server. 1. Open SCUM. 2. From the main menu, select Multi Play. 3. Use the search bar to enter your server’s name. 4. When your server appears in the list, select it. 5. Click Connect. 6.
