How to Configure the Battle Game Mode on your Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord Server
The Battle game mode drops player's into large-scale wars with up to 120 players split into multiple teams in which each player has a single life. Individual settings for this mode can easily be updated in your server's Battle.txt file.
#Setting your Game Mode
In order to apply these settings, your Game Mode must be set to Battle.
- Access your control panel and Stop your server.
- Navigate to the Config tab and locate the
Game Modeoption. Set your desired Game Mode toBattle.
#Configuring the Battle Game Mode Settings
Once you have your game mode set to Battle, you can easily make any desired changes to its settings using your server's control panel.
- Access your control panel and Stop your server.
- Navigate to the Files tab and locate the
/Modules/Nativedirectory. - Select the settings file for
Battle.txtand make any desired changes to the Game Mode.
- Save and Start your server.
A list of settings and available options can be found below:

| CultureTeam1 | Aserai, Battanians, Empire, Khuzaits, Sturgians, Vlandians | Sets the first team's Culture on the server. |
| CultureTeam2 | Aserai, Battanians, Empire, Khuzaits, Sturgians, Vlandians | Sets the second team's culture on the server. |
| RoundPreparationTimeLimit | Any number greater than or equal to 30. | The amount of time in seconds that each team is given before each new round to prepare. |
| MaxNumberOfPlayers | Any number greater than or equal to 1. | The maximum number of players allowed to join the game. |
| FriendlyFireDamageMeleeFriendPercent | Any number between 1 and 100. | An amount in percent that friendly units take when hit by friendly melee damage. |
| FriendlyFireDamageMeleeSelfPercent | Any number between 1 and 100. | An amount in percent that players take when hit by their own melee damage. |
| FriendlyFireDamageRangedFriendPercent | Any number between 1 and 100. | An amount in percent that friendly units take when hit by friendly ranged damage. |
| FriendlyFireDamageRangedSelfPercent | Any number between 1 and 100. | An amount in percent that players take when hit by their own ranged damage. |
| MinNumberOfPlayersForMatchStart | Any number greater than or equal to 1. | The minimum number of players that must be connected for the game to begin. |
| RoundTotal | Any number greater than or equal to 1. | The total number of rounds to be played. |
| MapTimeLimit | Any value in minutes (e.g. 30 = 30 minutes) | The maximum amount of time allowed for the entire game. |
| RoundTimeLimit | Any value in minutes (e.g. 30 = 30 minutes) | The maximum amount of time allowed per individual round. |
| WarmupTimeLimit | Any number greater than 2 (in minutes). | Sets the duration of the warmup before the game begins. |
| SingleSpawn | True or False | If set to true, players will only have a single life. |
| NumberOfBotsTeam1 | Any number greater than or equal to 0. | Sets the number of bots in team 1. |
| NumberOfBotsTeam2 | Any number greater than or equal to 0. | Sets the number of bots in team 2. |
