How to Change or Upload a Save on Your Renown Server

Changing or uploading a save on your Renown server lets you either start fresh with a new world or continue from a previous save. Whether you’re looking to reset your progress or import an existing world, both options can be managed easily through your control panel.

#Creating a New World Save

Creating a new world save gives your Renown server a completely fresh start. This resets player progress, the in-game economy, and all structures, allowing everyone to begin again on equal footing.

1. Access your control panel.
2. Stop your server before making any changes.
3. Navigate to the Config tab.
4. Open the Renown Server Settings section.
5. Locate the Save Name field.
6. Enter a new name for your world save.
7. Click Save, then Start your server to generate a new world.

Your server will now start with a new save under the name you specified.

#Uploading a Save from Your Computer

If you want to continue progress from another host or local copy, you can upload an existing save file to your Renown server.

1. Access your control panel.
2. Stop your server before uploading any files.
3. Go to the Files tab.
4. Open the directory: Renown_Combat/Saved/SaveGames.
5. Upload your save files here - include both the .sav and SaveGameMetaData files.
   • If you upload a .zip file, right-click it and select Unzip.
6. Navigate to the Config tab.
7. Under Renown Server Settings, locate Save Name.
8. Ensure the value matches the name of your uploaded save file (without the extension).
9. Click Save, then Start your server to load the uploaded world.

Your Renown server will now load your custom save file, allowing you and your players to continue right where you left off.
