How to Enable DLC on your RimWorld Together Server

RimWorld DLCs introduce new mechanics, items, factions, and gameplay systems that can expand the experience for your server. When using RimWorld Together, DLC settings can be configured through the in game admin tools.

Players connecting to the server must follow the DLC requirements set by the server. Depending on the configuration, some DLCs may be required, optional, or restricted.

#Enable DLC using the admin menu

DLC settings can be configured from the in game admin menu.

  1. Join your RimWorld Together server as an admin.

  2. Press ESC to open the menu.

  3. Click Options.

  4. Enable Development Mode.

  5. Click OK.

  6. Press ESC again and select Admin Menu.

  7. Click Mod Manager.

  8. Locate the DLC you want to configure and select the desired setting.

Required
Players must have this DLC installed to join the server.

Optional
Players can join with or without this DLC installed.

Forbidden
Players using this DLC will be prevented from joining.

  1. Click Accept, then press OK to confirm.

You may also be asked whether you want to enforce the new settings across the server.

#DLC setup during a new world

When a new RimWorld Together game is created, the first player to join the server may be prompted to configure the mod and DLC list. From this screen, DLCs can be enabled before the game begins.
