The Behaviour pack (Add-On) system is a feature for Minecraft Bedrock Edition that allows you to customize the experience of your Minecraft server. They are used to add or override existing advancements, structures, recipes, and more.

If you are using Java edition, please refer to our guide on Installing Data Packs on your Minecraft Server.

#Installing a Behaviour Pack to your Client

Behaviour packs can be installed on your Minecraft Bedrock client by running the downloaded files on your PC.

  1. Download the behaviour pack you'd like to use. It should be a file with a .mcpack or .mcaddon extension.

  2. Double-click on the downloaded file to install the pack on the game.

Double click the addon file to launch the game and begin importing it

#Installing a pack directly into the World

The quickest and easiest way to get your pack working on the server is to create the world you intend to use in single-player and then import it onto your server.

  1. Open up Minecraft: Bedrock Edition.

  2. Select Play, and create a New World.

  1. Locate your Add-ons menu. Click on Resource Packs and Behaviour Packs and select your chosen addons.
  1. Press Activate and then create your world.

You can then upload your Custom World to your server by following our guide here.
