How to Install Mods on your Insurgency Sandstorm Client

This guide explains how mods work on the Insurgency: Sandstorm client. Players have access to a wide variety of mods, ranging from additional weapons to complete gameplay overhaul experiences.

When connecting to a modded server, required mods are automatically downloaded to your client, so no manual installation is normally needed. If you would like to install mods on your own server, you can follow our separate Knowledgebase guide for configuring server-side mods.

#Connecting to a Modded Server

When connecting to a modded Insurgency: Sandstorm server mods are automatically downloaded to your client.

1. Connect to your server.

2. Upon joining, you will see a prompt that tracks the download progress of all required mods.

3. Once the mods finish downloading, you will connect automatically.
