How to Upload your Singleplayer Save on your RimWorld Together Server
If you previously hosted a RimWorld Together server locally or with another provider, you can transfer your existing world to your Shockbyte server. This allows you to continue playing with the same colonies, settings, and world state without starting over.
Only saves from an existing RimWorld Together server can be transferred. Standard single player RimWorld saves are not compatible.
#Prepare your local server files
First, create an archive of your current RimWorld Together server files.
-
Navigate to your local RimWorld Together server directory.
-
Select all folders inside the server directory.
-
Right click the selection.
-
Choose Send to then Compressed (zipped) folder.
This will create a .zip file containing your full server data.
#Upload the save to your Shockbyte server
Next, upload the archived files to your server.
-
Access your control panel.
-
Stop your server.
-
Open the Files tab.
-
Locate and delete the following folders if they exist:
Assets
Backups
Configs
Logs
-
Upload the .zip file created earlier.
-
Once uploaded, right click the file and select Unarchive.
This will extract your original server files onto the Shockbyte server.
#Start the server
After the files have been extracted:
-
Return to your control panel.
-
Start the server.
Your existing RimWorld Together world and configuration will now load on the server.
