#What is the RLCraft Dregora Minecraft Modpack?

RLCraft Dregora is built around Dregora, a custom world generator that overrides Minecraft's default terrain generation and has been steadily refined since 2013. It started out as a generator for the Ancient Realms server, went public after enough requests came in, and has kept growing since.

The RLCraft Dregora world came from NLBlackEagle and his brother NLBlackHeavenNL, conceived as a boundless adventure made specifically for RLCraft with the aim of transforming terrain generation. What began as a smaller project grew quickly once the team teamed up with the RLCraft developers, and the 300+ new biomes are only part of the story. Beyond terrain, there are new bosses, mobs, structures, mechanics, and mob variants, plus a reworked gameloop, all meant to pull you into the world through a complete storyline and rich lore.

Same warning as RLCraft: expect to die a lot, and then some more. If anything, the creator might be an even bigger sadist than Shivaxi.

#Getting Started In RLCraft Dregora

Thought RLCraft was rough? Get ready to relive those early days, working out what's what and where to go. There's no need to panic, though - plenty of tools are available to help you push through.

#Choose your biome wisely:

With 300+ biomes to sort through, picking the right one takes some thought. Temperature is a major concern: soaking up sun in the open sounds nice until there's nowhere left to cool down, and climbing into the mountains unprepared can leave you freezing. Flower plains are worth watching for since nymphs spawn there naturally, though not all of them stay peaceful.

#Be alert:

New mods bring new mechanics, entities, biomes, items, and structures along with them. That gravel patch could be a trap, a house could be rigged to explode, and a potion labeled regeneration might actually be de-generation. Paying attention to detail helps, since most cursed spots or items give some sort of warning sign.

#Exploring can save your life:

Exploration matters a lot in RLCraft, and even more so here. Expect to run into abandoned shelters, hidden cities, and underground civilizations that hardly anyone has found before. All of it helps your run along, and there's even a chance you'll track down the fabled ban hammer.

#Start leveling immediately:

Shears alone require Gathering and Farming at level 4 each. Spend your levels the moment you get them, since sleeping through the first night or two isn't likely anyway. Reskillable and Level Up! both sit in tabs within your inventory.

#Top priority items:

A Canteen or Water Bottle for drinking - cows or smelted sand into glass work fine
A flint and steel or match box for lighting torches - match boxes beat iron for ease, so look for sugarcane or birch to make paper
Cobblestone and wood for fireplaces when it's cold, lit using sticks or a flint and steel
Water to cool down when it's hot - a bucket of water is worth grabbing early
Sheep for wool toward a bed (they don't drop wool anymore, so find another source)
