A couple of traps to avoid in Year 1. Melon takes 12 days to grow, so even if you plant on Summer 1 it won't be ready until Summer 13, two days after the festival. And Starfruit needs desert access, which means a repaired bus and 40,000g you almost certainly don't have yet.

If you forget entirely, don't panic. Pierre's Luau stall sells one normal-quality Starfruit for 3,000g.
