Troubleshooting your StarRupture server can help resolve common session and connection related issues. As StarRupture is still in early access, some server behavior may change as development continues.

This guide focuses on the most common issue where the server appears online but players are unable to join.

#Cannot Join the Server While It Appears Online

In some cases, the server may appear online in the control panel but players are unable to connect. This usually means the server is still loading the session in the background.

Try the following steps in order.

1. Wait 60 to 90 seconds after the server comes online, as the session may still be loading.
2. Restart your game client and attempt to join again.
3. Open the Config tab in your control panel and make sure the Session Name field is not empty.
4. Restart the server and allow it to fully start before joining.

In most cases, one of these steps resolves the issue.
