Something for everyone. Hybrid pack with fun twists, over 1000+ quests and challenges to complete!

#What is the MC Eternal Minecraft Modpack?

MC Eternal is a Forge modpack for Minecraft 1.12.2, the result of more than 3 years of ongoing, hands-on development. It combines the best parts of modded skyblock, quests, shops, and RPG mechanics, into a large but still approachable pack that works well for all kinds of players, particularly in a group.

Crafting recipes throughout MC Eternal stay simple, and a lot of attention goes toward lesser-known, underrated mods, especially in how the pack handles adventuring. Rather than pushing you down a set path, the optional questing system rewards whatever you feel like doing at any given moment.

MC Eternal is a large-sized pack, currently built from around 380 mods, with a server pack publicly available for anyone wanting to run their own.

#MC Eternal Minecraft Modpack Features

#Questing and progression:

  • 750+ quests and counting, with fresh content added regularly
  • Fully optional quest chapters, spanning Introduction, Agriculture, Exploration, Magic and Spellcasting, Science, Advanced Science, Space Exploration, Bosses, and Challenges
  • Quests provide light direction without ever locking you into content you don't want to do
  • A "Challenges" chapter stacked with strange and entertaining goals, from gathering 1 million dirt to fighting every boss in the game, building a Jaffa factory, or lasting 30 hours without dying
  • 30+ extra challenges available in-game, each with its own difficulty level and rewards

#Economy and community:

  • A custom economy where players choose a profession and sell goods through the Player Shop for currency
  • A fully dynamic GUI shop, mixing genuinely useful items with silly, gimmicky ones
  • Build your own town complete with workers, citizens, and builders through MineColonies

#RPG and character building:

  • RPG systems layered with science, letting you shape a mage, mad scientist, farmer, or some combination of the three
  • A bounty system, tucked into the Exploration chapter, that sends you off hunting rare and dangerous creatures
  • Legendary artifacts scattered around for the taking
  • Secrets and collectables hidden throughout the world for players who like to dig deeper

#Building and automation:

  • Hundreds of Tinkers Construct materials to tinker with
  • Sprawling, customizable factories, whether you want something efficient or gloriously overcomplicated
  • Tech mods of every scale, opening up automation and advanced science, including nuclear reactors, jetpacks, lasers, large solar arrays, combat-focused power suits, and modular rocketships for space travel

#Creatures and companions:

  • Dozens of tameable pets and creatures to bring along as you explore

#Exploration, dungeons, and bosses:

  • Custom dungeons, structures, and bosses waiting to be pillaged and defeated
  • 9+ dimensions, with additional exploration content planned down the line
  • A fully custom Moon dimension, complete with 3 unique bosses and over 35 custom structures
  • Reworked boss mods, giving encounters more identity and challenge
  • Hardcore Darkness turns night and unlit spaces into a real threat, applying retroactive pitch darkness and heavier monster spawns if your base and caves aren't properly lit (this can be turned off, though it adds a lot to the atmosphere if left on)
  • The Beneath and other dimensions have been reworked and optimized for progression - osmium, for instance, only appears in the dark, unsettling Beneath, though it spawns more frequently and in larger veins there (torches recommended)

#Design philosophy:

  • Recipes are kept simple and light on time-gating, aiming for a more genuinely fun experience over needless grinding
  • Some gating does exist, but it's used purposefully rather than as filler, such as certain ores being tied to specific dimensions to push exploration, or key resources for stronger mods spawning in riskier locations

#Getting Started With MC Eternal: What You Need To Know

  • Recommended World Type: Biomes O' Plenty (BOP)
  • Server pack available to the public for self-hosting
  • Update schedule includes frequent smaller updates plus a larger monthly patch, generally speaking

#MC Eternal Minecraft Modpack FAQs

#How large is MC Eternal?

It's a large modpack, sitting at roughly 380 mods, blending tech, magic, RPG systems, and questing into a single cohesive experience.

#Do the quest chapters need to be completed in order?

Not at all. Every quest chapter is optional. They offer a general sense of direction, but you're always free to jump to whatever content appeals to you most, be it dungeons, loot runs, or exploration, without any pressure attached.

#Is the pack heavily gated?

There's a bit of gating, but it's there with purpose rather than to stretch out playtime artificially. Certain ores are tied to specific dimensions to encourage exploring, and stronger mods often require resources found in more hazardous areas.

#What world type is recommended?

Biomes O' Plenty (BOP) is the suggested choice for the best experience.

#Is it possible to host my own server?

Yes, a public server pack is available for anyone who wants to set up their own MC Eternal server.

#Where should I go for help or questions?

Discord is the recommended spot for reaching the creator and getting support. It's preferred over posting questions in the CurseForge comments.

#Can I share what I build or experience in the pack?

Definitely, and it's encouraged. The creator enjoys seeing player creations, so sharing screenshots or videos of your MC Eternal playthrough is always welcome.

#What sets MC Eternal apart from other kitchen sink packs?

Its focus on underrated, lesser-known mods, particularly for adventuring, combined with skyblock-inspired systems like quests, shops, and currency layered with RPG and tech elements, all while trying to stay approachable rather than overwhelming.
