This guide will cover the different ways to install BepInEx onto your PC. How To Join Your Valheim Server
Before you can join your server, you'll need to make sure that your server is up and running on the latest version of Valheim and locate your server's IP address and password. --- Finding your Server IP You can find your server IP Address under the IP Address field through your control panel. 1. Login to your Control Panel. 2. Once logged in, copy the entire IP Address field. --- Finding your Server Password Your server password is in the valheim.properties file, which can be found in your control panel under Config Files. Joining Your Server Once you have the above information, you're ready to join your server! It's worth noting that these steps must be followed every time you want to join the server, as it does not remember the password you entered. 1. Launch the game, and click Start Game in the main menu. 2. Select the character you want to join your server on. If you haven't made one yet, you'll need to do this before continuing. 3. After selecting or creating your character, click Start. 4. Change to the Join Game tab, and then press the Add Server button. 5. Paste your server IP into the box that pops up, and click the Connect button. 6. After a brief moment, you will be prompted for your Server Password. Paste your server password into the box. After entering it, press Enter. 7. Assuming you have entered the correct information, are not banned, or you are on the whitelist, you will now load into the server! --- Add Your Server to the Steam Server List Valheim uses an alternative port when connecting to your server via the Steam Server List. In short, it is the regular port +1. All Shockbyte Valheim servers by default come with the port ; therefore, you will use instead. 1. In the Steam client under View Servers, click the Favorites tab. 2. Click Add server by IP. 3. Enter your Server Address into the pop-up box and click OK. Make sure that you are using the port . 4. Click on your server to attempt to join it from the Servers list. 5. Enter your Server Password when prompted, and press Join Game. 6. This will then start the game and open the Character Selection Screen. Choose the desired Character you wish to login to the server with. 7. You will then be prompted for the Server Password a second time. Enter it again. That's it! You’re ready to start exploring your Valheim server with friends.
