How To Upload An Existing World To Your Palworld Server

If you had hosted a local world or single-player Palworld session before purchasing a dedicated server, you can transfer your existing world data over to your new server. ::ProseNote{title="Host player" description="The host player will lose their character progress when the save is transferred. This is because the dedicated server itself will assume the role of the host character. We recommend that the host place as many items or Pals into storage as possible before transferring the world." appearance="error"} :: --- Finding Local World Files You can directly access your save files from the open folder button found in-game. 1. Open Palworld, and click Start Game to view your world list. 2. Select your desired world, then click the folder icon in the bottom left. 3. You should now see your world files; keep them open. --- Uploading an Existing World Once you have located your existing Palworld world files, you can replace your server's existing world files with them. 1. Access your Control Panel and Stop your server. 2. Navigate to the Files tab on your server. 3. Navigate to , then open the last folder, which will usually be named a random string of characters. 4. Delete all the files within this folder; they will be replaced by your existing world files. If you'd like to save these files for future use, you can create a backup before deleting them. 5. Upload your existing world files to the same directory. Do not include the WorldOption.sav file. If you upload the WorldOption.sav file, it will override the server's configuration, and you will not be able to make edits with the Palworld Server Settings file. 6. Start your server.

Before starting with this guide, it is highly recommended that you create a backup of your world to make sure you have a copy of your current world in case you need it again. --- Resetting your Palworld World You can reset your world by accessing your server files and deleting your world. 1. Luckily Palworld allows you to define a server password, which you can then share with the players you would like to have access to your server. --- Configuring a Server Password To set up a server password, you simply need to define it in your Palworld Server Settings then restart. 1. Access your Control Panel and Stop your server. 2. Navigate to the Config tab. 3. Locate the Password option, and set your server password. You can click Generate to create a randomized password. 4. Save and Start your server. The next time you try to connect to your server, you will be prompted to enter the configured password before you can login, effectively making your server private.

How To Kick And Ban Players On Your Palworld server

It is possible for a Palworld server Administrator to kick or ban unwanted players from their server using the kick and ban commands. --- Retrieving Player Information To remove a player on your Palworld server, you must know their player ID or Steam ID first. 1. Connect to your Palworld server as an admin. 2. Press to open the chat. 3. Enter the command . 4. This allows server owners to customize the Palworld experience their server offers. --- Navigating to your Palworld Server Settings You can configure many Palworld game settings from your config tab, found on your server's control panel. 1. Access your Control Panel and Stop your server. 2. Navigate to the Config tab. 3. Click Palworld Server Settings. --- Changing your Server Settings Once you have access to your server settings, you can make any required changes. The table below lists all the available server settings. Make sure after you change any settings, you Save your changes and Start the server. | Option | Description | | ----- | ----- | | Server Name | Sets the name on the server browser list. | | Server Description | Display a brief summary of what players can expect from your server on the in-game server list. | | Steam Updates | Allows you to enable or disable automatic updates.
