How to Disable Player Advancement Announcements
Advancement is a feature available exclusively on Minecraft Java Edition, wherein players can complete tasks in-game. This feature assists new players in Minecraft's gameplay by completing challenges. Once a player achieves an advancement, a sliding toast notification is displayed in-game on the upper-right corner of the screen for the player and is also broadcast in the chat. ::ProseNote{title="Important Reminder" description="You need to be an operator (OP) to be able to use these commands in-game. How to Disable Chat Reporting on Your Minecraft Server
Since the release of Minecraft 1.19.1, chat reporting was introduced, a new feature to help moderate multiplayer chats. While chat reporting helps keep server chats safe, being reported can result in suspension or permanent bans from all Minecraft servers and Realms. Chat reporting was introduced in Minecraft 1.19.1, meaning it only applies to servers running 1.19.1 or higher. However, you can easily disable chat reporting through the use of mods and plugins. --- How to Disable Chat Reporting using Mods There is a popular Forge mod that disables chat reporting by removing the message signatures that link messages sent to your Minecraft account. These messages can not be reported, and thus effectively disable chat reporting. 1. Access your Control Panel and Shut Down your server. 2. Download the No Chat Reports mod. You can find and download the No Chat Reports mod on CurseForge. 3. Install the mod on your PC. Drag the mod into your local installation's mod folder. Navigate to the Files Tab in your control panel, and upload the mod into your server's mods folder. How to Create / Import and Export MultiMC Modpacks
MultiMC allows you to create as many modpack instances as you would like on any modloader or Minecraft version. Following these steps will help you create a new instance in MultiMC. --- How to Create a Custom MultiMC Instance 1. Open the MultiMC application. 2. On the top left section of the window, click Add Instance. 3. Give the modpack a name and select the version you would like to install mods for, then press OK. 4. Select the newly-created instance and press Edit Instance. 5. Install the modloader of your choice by pressing the Install Forge or Install Fabric button. 6. To install mods, press the Open .minecraft button in order to find your /mods folder. 7. Move any mod you’d like for your modpack to the mods folder. You can find Minecraft mods on websites such as CurseForge. 8. How to Create Holograms with DecentHolograms on your Minecraft Server
Holograms/floating text have become one of the most popular ways to mark locations, give players direction, or provide information boards on many Spigot/Bukkit Minecraft servers. Although there are a few different options to choose from when it comes to picking a plugin that provides hologram support, the most popular and most compatible plugin is DecentHolograms. Thanks to DecentHolograms, server owners can easily create any number of holograms with the use of a few commands. --- Installing DecentHolograms Before you can install the DecentHolograms plugin, make sure your server is running a server type that supports Bukkit plugins. Spigot, Bukkit, and Paper are examples of server types which support plugins. 1. Download the Decent Holograms plugin. You can find the plugin's SpigotMC page by clicking here. 2. Access your Control Panel and Shut Down your server. 3. Navigate to the Files Tab. 4. Open the plugins folder. 5. Upload the DecentHolograms jarfile that you downloaded in Step 1. 6. Start your server. --- Creating your First Hologram There are plenty of variations in holograms that can be created. For this example, we make a simple text-based hologram. We highly recommend you visit the DecentHolograms wiki for more information regarding the types of holograms that you can create. After the DecentHolograms plugin loads on the server, you will be able to use in-game commands to create holograms if you have the required permissions or are an opped player. 1. In-game, position yourself where you'd like to create the hologram, then type /dh create (name). 2. Enter "/dh line help" to see how you can edit your new hologram. 3. Enter the command "/dh line set (name) (page) (line) (text)" to override a specific line of text on your new hologram. 4. To add another line, you can type "/dh line add (name) (page) (text)". --- Configuring DecentHolograms If you would like to change common settings like the space between text lines, you can do so in the config.yml file. How to Create and Switch Worlds on a Minecraft Server
Without the use of plugins like Multiverse Core, your server can only run one world at a time. Thankfully, it is a fairly quick process to create a new world and use it. If you would like to upload an existing world instead, please refer to this guide on using existing worlds. --- Changing your Active World To change what world your Minecraft server uses, you have to change the world name configured in your server.properties file. If you change the world name to the name of a world folder that your server already has, then it will load that existing world. On the other hand, if the name you choose does not have an existing world folder, your server will generate an entirely new world using that name. 1. Access your server's control panel and navigate to the Files tab. 2. Find the server.properties file, and click its name to edit it 3. How to Create a Flat World for Your Minecraft Server
A flat or superflat world in Minecraft is a world with no features on its terrain, such as trees, hills, and bodies of water. By default, a flat/superflat world consists of a layer of bedrock, two layers of dirt, and one layer of grass. Villages and mobs will also spawn in this world. You will need to reset your world to ensure a new flat world is generated by following this guide: How to Reset your Minecraft World. --- Bedrock Edition For Bedrock, there is no server setting to use a flat world, so you will need to do it a different way. 1. In Single-player, create a new flat world. 2. Upload the newly created world to your server. After creating a new world in single-player, you will need to upload it to your server. How to Convert a Minecraft World from Bedrock to Java Edition
By default, worlds generated in the Bedrock version of Minecraft are not compatible with Java Edition. Access your server's Control Panel and navigate to the Files tab. 2. Select the folder, then click ZIP. 3. Download the file --- Exporting a Single-Player World It's also possible to export a single-player world generated with the Bedrock edition of Minecraft. 1. Launch Minecraft Bedrock Edition. 2. Click Play. 3. Click the Edit button next to your desired world. 4. Click Export World at the bottom of the Game Settings page. --- Converting your World Once you have exported your world, you will need to convert it. We recommend doing this using the Chunker website. 1. Navigate to the Chunker website. 2. Click the Upload archive button. 3. Select your desired or file to upload 4. Click the Start Upload button. 5. Select your desired version of Java Minecraft, then click Convert & Download. 6. When the world finishes converting, click the Download button.
