How to Install Oxide Plugins on Your Rust Server

Before you can install plugins on your Rust server, you will need to install Oxide. If you need assistance doing so, you can find our guide on the topic here. In this article, we are going to use the plugin Gather Manager as an example, however, these steps will work for any Oxide plugin you wish to install. --- Installing Oxide Plugins Any Oxide plugin can be installed on your server by uploading your chosen plugin's .cs file to your servers /plugins folder. 1. Download your desired plugin from uMod. 2. On your control panel, Stop your server. 3. Navigate to the Files tab and locate the directory . 4. Upload the downloaded .cs file and restart your server. If you have followed these steps properly, the plugin should be loaded and functional after the server starts. If the plugin does not work, please try following the steps again to ensure they are followed properly. How to Install Harmony Mods on your Rust Server

Harmony is Rust's built-in modding platform, which means there is no need for external installation, unlike Oxide or Carbon. Although there is not much documentation available for the Harmony feature, some Rust server owners may prefer to use Harmony mods due to their official API support and easy installation. --- How to Install Harmony Mods The Harmony API is built into every Rust server by default, which means installing Harmony mods to your Rust server only requires you to upload the .dll files to the proper folder, followed by loading each mod using the command in your server console command line. 1. Download your desired Harmony mods; these can be found from Lone Design or Codefling. 2. Access your control panel and Stop your server. 3. Navigate to the Files tab. 4. Locate and open the folder named HarmonyMods. 5. Upload your Harmony mods. Simply drag and drop the files into the directory. 6. Navigate to your server's Console, and Start your server. 7. Once your server is online, type and enter into the command line. Replace (YOUR MOD NAME) with the name of the mod you uploaded. This step does not have to be done after every restart; once loaded, the mod will persist through server restarts. To unload a Harmony mod, use the command in the console command line. It ensures full backwards compatibility with Oxide while prioritizing lightweight design and high performance. Despite Carbon having backward compatibility with Oxide, it can not be installed at the same time, and you are required to choose one or the other. Carbon offers numerous features including an integrated stack and gather manager, permissions system, hook system, chat and console support, embedded demystifier, and more. How to Increase Item Stack Limits

Rust’s default item stack limit varies on different items. Users may wish to increase this value, for example: modded servers who have increased their Gather Rates. In order to increase your Rust server’s item stack limit, you will need to take a few steps. This article is here to help guide you through these steps. --- Installing the Plugin You can install the StackSizeController plugin on your server files on the control panel. 1. Install Oxide on your server. Oxide is a Rust mod that allows you to install plugins on your server. You can find a tutorial here. 2. Download the Stack Size Controller plugin by AnExiledDev; located here. The file should download as . 3. On your control panel, navigate to the Files tab. 4. Upload the file you downloaded earlier to the sub-directory . 5. Restart your server.
