Rust server administrators have access to a wide range of commands to help with server management, including kicking/banning players, restarting the server, setting the weather and much more.

#Adding an Admin/Moderator

Moderators can be added to your Rust server using the control panel's console. Moderators have access to all commands but are unable to promote other players to moderator.

  1. Locate the SteamID64 of the target user by following this guide.

  2. Access your control panel and navigate to the Console page.

  1. Enter the command moderatorid <STEAMID64> <NAME (or) REASON>.
  1. Enter the commands writecfg and readcfg in the console.

#Adding an Owner

Owners can be added to your Rust server using the control panel's console. Owners have access to all commands and can also promote players to moderator or owner.

  1. Locate the SteamID64 of the target user by following this guide.

  2. Access your control panel and navigate to the Console page.

  1. Enter the command ownerid <STEAMID64> <NAME (or) REASON>.
  1. Enter the commands writecfg and readcfg in the console.
