# Adding an Owner via Config Files
You can add an owner to your server by adding the SteamID64 to the OwnerIDs.ini file.
- Locate the player's SteamID64.

- Navigate to your Server Files.
- Locate and Open the OwnerIDs.ini file.
- Add the player's SteamID64 to the file.
- Click Save and Start the server.
# Adding an Owner via In-game
You can use the /owner command to add a user as an owner while in-game.
- Connect to your server.
- Press ENTER to use the in-game chat.
- Type the command
/owner (USERNAME)
Important
Users will receive full permissions and access to all commands. Do not grant Owner to users you do not know or trust.
