Easy Anti-Cheat is a third-party anti-cheat software to counteract hacking and cheating in Rust. Some server owners may wish to disable Easy Anti-Cheat on their Rust server to allow cracked/offline mode players to connect to their server. Although various reasons might motivate a server owner to do this, we do not recommend disabling EAC unless you know what you are doing.
Important
Disabling Easy Anti-Cheat on your Rust server may cause your server not to appear in the in-game server browser.
# Enabling or Disabling EAC
By default, Rust servers will have EAC enabled, however, you can disable it in your Rust Server Settings configuration file through your server's control panel.
- Access your control panel and Stop your server.
- Navigate to the Config tab and Open the Rust Server Settings.
- Locate the Easy Anti Cheat option and set it to true/false.
- Click Save and Start your server.
