A useful feature provided to server owners on the Shockbyte Panel is the ability to create and edit panel user roles. This allows you to share your console access with your staff, while ensuring they only have access to what they need, promoting a secure and collaborative environment.
# Creating a New Panel Role
You can't modify any of the default panel role permissions, so if you'd like a role with different permissions, you must create your own custom role.
- Navigate to the Shockbyte Panel and open your server panel.
- Click the Sharing tab to view your server roles
- Click the Edit button in the Roles section
- Click the Create Role button, give your role a name, then click Confirm
- Modify your desired permissions, your changes will automatically save
# Editing an Existing Panel Role
If you would like to modify the permissions of one of your existing panel roles, you can quickly do so by following these steps.
If you haven't added any roles to your server yet, you will need to add one as the default roles cannot be edited.
- Navigate to the Shockbyte Panel and open your server panel.
- Click the Sharing tab to view your server roles
- Click the Edit button in the Roles section
- Select the role you would like to modify
- Modify your desired permissions, your changes will automatically save
