In order to manage your server in-game, you'll need to have access to admin rights. A server admin has access to kick and ban players from the server.
# How to Enter Cheat Mode
If you are an admin, you will be able to enter Cheat Mode via the in-game console by typing cm and pressing enter.
The in-game console can be opened by pressing the following key:
- F1 for US and EU keyboards.
- " for US keyboards.
- @ for EU keyboards.
- Ö/Ø/F2 for Scandinavian keyboards.
- Ñ for Spanish keyboards.

# How to Add Admins to Your 7 Days to Die Server
You can add an admin to your server using their username, entity ID, or SteamID64. If you don't know how to find a player's SteamID, check out our guide here.
- If you wish to add an admin using their Steam ID, use the following syntax Steam_XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX. For example:
admin add Steam_76561197965969909 0. - Log in to your control panel and navigate to your Console.
- Enter the command
admin add (name, entity ID, or Steam ID) (0 - 1000). The number at the end of the command determines the user's permission level, and 0 is the maximum permission level.
