How To Install Fabric On Your PC Using CurseForge or MultiMC

It is possible to install Fabric and build a custom modded Minecraft experience for you and your friends using either CurseForge or MultiMC.


# Installing Fabric with CurseForge

Fabric can be installed by creating a custom profile on the CurseForge launcher in just a few steps.

  1. Open CurseForge and select Minecraft.

  1. Click Create Custom Profile.

  1. Fill out the following information.
Note

For the Modloader Version option, choose the version of Fabric that is compatible with your mods (if you are unsure, leave it as default).

  1. Create the profile, then click My Modpacks and select your new custom profile.

You can now add mods to your custom profile.


# Installing Fabric with MultiMC

Another great launcher that can be used to install Fabric is MultiMC. Fabric can be installed by adding a custom instance.

  1. Download and open MultiMC.

  1. Click Add Instance in the top left corner.

  1. Enter a name and choose the version of Minecraft you want to play.

  1. Click OK to create your instance, then right-click it to edit it.

  1. Click Install Fabric, select the version you want to use, and then click OK.

You can now add mods to your newly created MultiMC instance.
