Looking to spice up your DayZ experience with Steam Workshop mods? Whether you're running the Experimental or Stable version of Dayz, this guide will show you how to easily install, manage and enjoy mods that can improve your gameplay.

# Installing Mods on Your DayZ Stable Client

If you are using DayZ Stable, you can install mods from the DayZ Steam Workshop.

  1. Navigate to the DayZ Steam Workshop.
  2. Find the mods you would like to use and click Subscribe.
  3. Launch DayZ and go to the MODS tab to find the mods you installed.

Your mods are now successfully installed on your client.


# Installing Mods on Your DayZ Experimental Client

If you are using DayZ Experimental on your server, you will need to follow some extra steps.

  1. Navigate to the DayZ Steam Workshop.
  2. Find the mods you would like to use and click Subscribe.
  3. Launch DayZ and go to the MODS tab.
  4. Click the drop-down arrow on one of the mods, then the three dots and Open Folder in Windows Explorer.
  5. Copy and paste these mods to a new folder on your Desktop.
Important

If you can't see these mods folders, you may need to launch the game once to generate the files.

  1. Close DayZ and launch DayZ Experimental.
  2. Navigate to the MODS tab, click Local mod then navigate to the folder you just created. Select the mods, then click Select Folder.

These mods are now successfully installed on your experimental client.
