Palworld automatically creates and stores backups of your server in the server files. This guide will go over how to restore these backups.

We recommend enabling automatic backups through our control panel because it only takes one-click to restore these backups. If you'd like to enable automatic backups you can find our guide on the topic here.

Important

As this process involves deleting files, make sure to create a backup before proceeding.

# How to get started

  1. Access your server's control panel and shut down the server.
  2. Navigate to the Files tab on your server.
  3. Navigate to /Pal/Saved/SaveGames/0, then open the last folder which will usually be named a random string of characters.
  4. Delete the Players, Level.sav, and LevelMeta.sav files inside of this folder, they will be replaced by the backup files later.
