How To Upload A World To Your Core Keeper Server

If you have a pre-existing world from singleplayer, you can upload it to your Core Keeper server to play it in multiplayer. --- Uploading a World to Your Server You can upload a World for Core Keeper into your Worlds folder on your server. 1. Log in to your server control panel and Stop your server. 2. Navigate to your Server Files. 3. Locate and Open the Worlds folder. 4. On your PC, navigate to to find your local Core Keeper worlds. 5. Choose the world you want to upload. You can identify worlds using the number prefixing the file name. 6. Upload your desired world to your server by dragging the world file into your server worlds folder. 7. Once the transfer is finished, return to your main server files and open the corekeeper.properties. 8. Set the field to the number that prefixes the uploaded world name. For example, if you uploaded 2.world.gzip, you should set the value to world=2 9. Click Save and Start your server. That’s it! How To Reset And Modify Your Core Keeper World

Core Keeper features a vast, procedurally generated world. To keep the game interesting, you might want to generate a new one. However, there are quite a few settings that can influence how the new world works. If you’re only interested in changing your server difficulty, you should check out How to Enable Hard Difficulty on your Core Keeper Server. --- Modifying Your World You can modify your Core Keeper world via the worldcorekeeper.properties file. 1. Log in to your control panel and Stop your server. 2. Navigate to your Server Files. 3. Find and Open the corekeeper.properties file. 4. Modify your server settings as needed. A table explaining these settings can be found below.  | Name | Default Value | Description | |--------------|----------------------------------------|-----------------------------------------------------------------------------| | | 0 | Sets which world will be used. The number used corresponds to the world. For example, "1" will load "1.world.gzip". | | | Core Keeper Server | Sets the MOTD/display name for the server. | | | 0 | Determines the world's difficulty. 0 is Normal, and 1 is Hard. | | | 0 (This sets the world generation to random) | Changes the world generation seed. | 5. Save and Start the server. --- Resetting Your World You can reset your world by deleting the world file from your server files. 1. Log in to your control panel and Stop your server. 2. Navigate to your Server Files. 3. Locate and Open the worlds folder by going to SavedGame Worlds. 4. Delete the file 0.world.gzip. The number will change depending on how many worlds you have. Log in to your control panel. 2. Copy your Game ID to your clipboard from either of the following locations: Server console: You can find your Game ID in your server console when your server starts. Configuration files: Your Game ID can be found by navigating to your Server Files on the control panel and opening the file. 3. On your Core Keeper Client, click Join Game in the main menu. 4. Paste the Game ID and click Join. That's it! You should now have been able to connect to your Core Keeper server!

How To Download Your Core Keeper World

If you want to use your Core Keeper world in singleplayer or store a backup locally, you will need to download it to your computer. --- Downloading your Core Keeper World You can download your Core Keeper world file from your server files. 1. Login to your server control panel and Stop your server. 2. Navigate to your server files. 3. Locate and open the Worlds folder on your server. This can be found by going to SavedGame worlds. 4. Download the 0.world.gzip to somewhere safe on your computer. 5. You can upload the world file for singleplayer by placing it in this folder on your computer - . That’s it! You have successfully downloaded your server's world. You can now use this in singleplayer, upload it to another server, or simply keep it on your computer as a backup.

How To Enable Hard Difficulty On Your Core Keeper Server

Core Keeper has an optional difficulty setting named Hard Mode that will make the game more challenging. Hard mode can only be turned on when creating a new world; you cannot switch between difficulties in the same world. ::ProseNote{title="Important" description="You cannot change the difficulty of an existing Core Keeper world. Every Core Keeper server comes equipped with a built-in banning system that allows you to prevent unwanted players from connecting and playing on your server.
