For users running Forge/modded servers, it is important to remember that mods must be installed on both your server and your PC to connect successfully. This guide outlines how to install your chosen mods locally on your Windows PC. Firstly, ensure that you have Forge installed on your server and PC. LuckPerms is most commonly used on Spigot/Paper servers; however, it is also available for Forge/Fabric servers. --- Installing LuckPerms on Forge/Fabric To install LuckPerms on a Forge or Fabric server, you must download the correct version, upload the mod.jar into your mods folder, and restart your server. 1. Download the appropriate LuckPerms build for your server type. You can find the downloads here: https://luckperms.net/download 2. Access your server's control panel and navigate to the Files tab. 3. Navigate to the folder. 4. Upload the jar file you downloaded from Step 1. 5. Restart your server. That's it! You've now installed LuckPerms onto your modded server. Using MultiMC, you can create Instances that you can use to create custom versions of Minecraft that use server types that you wish for. We can use an Instance to install Forge and install mods as we wish for Minecraft. You can download MultiMC from their Official Website. --- Installing Forge with MultiMC You can install Forge by setting up an Instance in MultiMC. 1. Open MultiMC, click Add Instance. 2. Enter the following: Name - A custom name for your instance. Version - Choose the version of Minecraft you wish to play. 3. Click OK. 4. Right-click your instance, and select Edit Instance. 5. Using Curseforge, you can create custom profiles that allow you to create a Forge version of Minecraft. Allowing you to freely install mods as you wish. You can download CurseForge from its Official Website. --- Installing Forge with CurseForge You can install Forge by creating a custom profile using CurseForge. 1. Open CurseForge, and select Minecraft. 2. Click Create Custom Profile. 3. Enter the following; 1. Profile Name - A custom name for your profile. 2. Minecraft Version - Choose the version of Minecraft you wish to play & mod. 3. Game Type - Forge. 4. Modloader Version - Choose the version of Forge that is compatible with your mods, if unsure leave it as the default/latest option. 4. Click Create. There is a huge variety of mods available for Forge Minecraft servers, allowing server owners to provide players with a fresh experience. Some server owners may wish to install individual Forge mods on their server, rather than installing an entire mod pack in bulk. Fortunately, the process to accomplish this is made easy thanks to Shockbyte's panel. --- Installing Forge Mods First, ensure you have selected a Forge server type using the How to Change your Server Type guide. From there, you can use our built-in Modding tab to search and install mods on your Minecraft Forge server by following these steps: 1. Open your control panel and stop your server. 2. Navigate to the Modding tab and select Discover more. 3. Search for your desired mods using the search box (For example, the "Create" mod) and click Install. 4. Heading back to the Installed tab, you can manage the list of installed plugins, updating or removing mods as desired. 5. Finally, restart your server to install your mods. That's it! How to Install Fabric on your PC

If you're running a Fabric server that has mods for both server and client, or if you're looking to improve client-side performance alongside other mods, you'll need to download Fabric onto your client. This isn't required if your server is running server-side only mods such as Lithium, but for client-side mods, you'll need to install Fabric locally. --- Installing Fabric You can install Fabric by running the Fabric installer and creating a Minecraft launcher profile. 1. Download the Fabric Installer. You can download the Fabric installer from their website. Similar to Forge, this installer will generate all of the required files for whichever version of Minecraft you select. However, Fabric does not have multiple installers for each version, and you can install any version you want via the same installer. Additionally, this is the same installer used for installing the server-side files. 2. Run the Fabric Installer, and ensure you are on the Client tab. 3. Fill in the required information. Minecraft version - This is the version of Minecraft that you will be playing, the most important option. Loader version - If you know the specific version you need, then select it; otherwise, it's advised to keep this as the latest. Launcher location - This is where your Minecraft Install folder is; this would depend on the Operating System you are using. 4. Click Install. 5. Launch Minecraft, and select the Fabric profile that was created. After the installation is complete, you'll be able to install mods by downloading them from a mod repository such as CurseForge. It is possible to install Fabric and build a custom modded Minecraft experience for you and your friends using either CurseForge or MultiMC. --- Installing Fabric with CurseForge Fabric can be installed by creating a custom profile on the CurseForge launcher in just a few steps. 1. Open CurseForge and select Minecraft. 2. Click Create Custom Profile. 3.
