How to Kick or Ban Players on Your 7 Days to Die Server

To keep your 7 Days to Die server running smoothly, you may need to remove disruptive players or enforce rules by kicking or banning them. Before you begin, make sure you have admin privileges, as only administrators can use these commands. How to Add Admins to Your 7 Days to Die Server

You can add an admin to your server using their username, entity ID, or SteamID64. If you don't know how to find a player's SteamID, check out our guide here. Once you've retrieved their ID, they can be added as an admin by editing the serveradmin.xml file. Adding an Admin by Editing the File 1. Open your Server Control Panel. 2. Shut down the server and then navigate to the Files tab in the control panel. 3. Enter in the search bar and open the file. 4. Locate the section, which is where admins can be added. 5. Add the following line inside the section you located. 6. Replace the values inside the line to assign a new admin. - - Replace with the admin's Steam ID. - - Replace with the admin's name. - - Set the number between (0 grants the highest authority) 7. How to Use an Older Version on Your 7 Days to Die Server

Some players prefer running an older version of 7 Days to Die on their server, like Alpha 21.2, because it was a popular release with a lot of community support. Check our guide on the topic here." appearance="default"} :: --- Before Getting Started We strongly recommend generating a new world when switching to an older version, which will be covered later in this guide. Worlds usually aren’t backwards compatible with older versions and can become corrupted if loaded in the wrong version. Once corrupted, the world can’t be fixed by switching back to the original version. How to Enable Crossplay on Your 7 Days to Die Server

Crossplay allows Steam and Console players to join the same 7 Days to Die server, but a few settings need to be adjusted for the server to be fully compatible with Console players. --- Enabling Crossplay 1. Open your Server Control Panel. 2. Stop the server and wait for it to go offline. 3. Open the Config tab in the control panel and open 7D2D Server Settings. 4. Locate the following settings and set both to Enabled: and 5. Save the file and proceed to the next section of this guide. --- Verifying Compatibility Requirements For your server to be fully crossplay compatible, you’ll need to make sure the values in your server settings match the ranges supported by console edition. PC players can still join even if these values differ, but console players won’t be able to connect unless the settings are configured properly. When you first purchase a 7 Days to Die server, Navezgane is the default selected map. This pre-generated world is designed by the developers and offers a fixed, non-randomized environment.
