How To Use And Navigate The Admin Panel On Your The Isle Server

The Isle server Administrators have access to a range of different tools to help keep your server running smoothly such as setting the time of day, night brightness, teleporting, healing and banning players. All of these commands are easily executable using the in-game admin panel. ::ProseNote{title="Important" description="In order to access the Admin Panel, you will need to be set as an administrator." appearance="default"} :: Accessing the Admin Panel Once connected as an Administrator, the Admin Panel can easily be accessed by pressing the Insert key or by typing  in chat. --- Kicking/Banning Player A player with access to the Admin Panel can search for and easily kick or ban another player. 1. Enter a Player Name or Steam ID in the Filters field. 2. Click either the Kick or Ban button. 3. When banning a player enter a Ban Reason, a Ban Length and then click Ban. --- Environmental Settings There is a range of environmental settings available such as the time of day or server brightness. 1. Click Environment. 2. The time can then be set manually by entering a time in the Set Manual Day Time: field. 3. The time can also be set to predefined times using the buttons below. 4. The server's Night & Overall Brightness can also be set using the sliders in the Lighting section. --- Teleporting It is also possible for Administrators to teleport to a list of predefined locations on the map. 1. Click Environment. 2. Select a location from the Location dropdown. 3. Click Teleport.

How To Kick/Ban Players From Your The Isle Server

When running a public The Isle server, there may come a time when a disruptive or troublesome player joins your server and an Administrator may wish to remove them either temporarily or permanently. ::ProseNote{title="Important" description="Before being able to kick or ban a player, you must be assigned as an administrator. You can find our article to help you with this here." appearance="default"} :: Using the Admin Menu The easiest way to kick or ban a player is using the in-game admin menu. 1. Open the admin menu by pressing the Insert key. 2. Locate the player. 3. Click the Kick or Ban button --- Using your Server Console If you know a player's Steam64ID it is also possible to kick or ban them using your server's console. 1. Access your control panel and click Console. 2. Enter or followed by the players Steam64ID. 3. Press Enter to send the command. --- Unbanning a Player Players can also be unbanned using the in-game admin menu. 1. Open the admin menu by pressing the Insert key. 2. Click Bans. 3. How To Join Your The Isle Server

Once you have your server configured the way you want it, you're ready to join. This can be done using the in-game browser. ::ProseNote{title="Important" description="In order to join your server, you MUST be playing on the Evrima Public Beta. You can find out how to enable Evrima here." appearance="default"} :: Identifying Important Information Before joining your server you will first need to locate your Server Name or your Server's IP. These can both be found in your server's Control Panel. The Server IP is the set of numbers before the : symbol, and after this are the last five numbers are your server's Port. It is also useful to know your server's name as defined in the config files. We have a great guide on how to set your server name here. --- Using the Server Browser All community hosted servers are shown in The Isle's Server Browser and can easily be found by searching for their Server Name. 1. Launch The Isle. 2. Click Play. 3. Change the Session Filter to Unofficial. 4. Enter your Server Name in the search box then click Refresh. 5. Select your server then click Connect.

How to Configure Your The Isle Server

Although the default settings for The Isle are suitable for most players, you may wish to make some changes to the way your server is set up. Most of The Isle server settings can be added or are located inside the game.ini Settings file on your server. It is possible to change your server name, admins, player limit and much more all in one place. --- Accessing Your Server Settings You can change or add settings to the Game.ini file. 1. Access your control panel and Stop your server. 2. Navigate to the Files tab. 3. Access your control panel and Stop your server. 2. Navigate to the Files tab. 3. Locate and Open the Game.ini file. 4. Add to a new line in the file followed by the player's Steam64ID. If you wish to add more admins, you will need to include a new ServerAdmins= line per server admin. 5. Click Save and Start your server. --- Administrator Commands Once a player has been added to the server's Administrator list they have access to a range of commands. The most commonly used can be found below and entered into the command console. | Command | Example | Description | | ----- | ----- | ----- | | | | Sends a server-wide announcement to all players. | | | | Sets the current weather of the server.
