How To Change The Time Acceleration Speed On Your DayZ Server
Both day and night time duration in DayZ can be increased or decreased to make them longer or shorter. --- Changing the Time Acceleration Speed You can change the Time Acceleration Speed in the serverDZ.cfg file. 1. Access your Control Panel and Stop the server. 2. Navigate to the Files tab. 3. Locate and Open the serverDZ.cfg file. 4. If you wish to change the overall time duration, locate and edit this to your preferred time. The numerical value you set is a multiplier of the default time. The value options range from 0-24. 5. If you wish to change the night time duration, locate and edit this to your preffered time. The number value you set is a multiplier of the default night time. The options can range from 0.1-64, and is multipled by the value. 6. Click Save and Restart your server. --- Example of Acceleration Values Here is an example to help you better understand the acceleration values: Setting Time Acceleration to 12 would mean that time would process 12 times faster than the default, resulting in an entire day passing in 2 hours rather than 24. Setting Night Time Acceleration to 3, whilst Time Acceleration is set to 2, would mean that night time would move six times (3 \ 2) faster than normal. Resulting in night time passing 4 hours rather than 24. How To Change The Loot Spawns On Your DayZ Server
There are various changes you can make to your loot tables. These options include spawn chance, the value, the lifetime of an item, and many more! | Value | Description | | ----- | ----- | | Lifetime | The duration an item is present once spawned (Time is in seconds). | | Restock | The duration that will pass before an item can spawn again. | | Cost | The spawn chance of an item. | | Category | All items have a category set; this affects where and how the item spawns on the map (weapons, containers, clothes, tools, etc.) | | Usage | Where the item will spawn (Town, Military, farm etc.) | | Value | Value group of an item; this affects where and how the item may spawn (Tier1, Tier2, Tier3, etc.) | | Nominal | The number of items that can be on the map at one time. | | Min | Minimum amount of items that will spawn on the map. | | QuantMin | The minimum quantity of a consumable within the item. Value=(-1.0%(empty) - 100.0%(full)) . E.g. How many bullets are in a specific ammo box | | QuantMax | The maximum quantity of a consumable within the item Value=(-1.0%(empty) - 100.0%(full)). E.g. Save your changes & Restart your server. --- Editing Types.xml with DZSA.tools The DZSA webpage allows you to modify the file easily. 1. Access your control panel and Stop the server. 2. Navigate to the Files tab. 3. Navigate to and download the file. If you are playing Livonia, the file location will be: . 4. Navigate to https://dzsa.tools/ then drag & drop the file into the webpage. 5. Find the item you wish to modify the values of and make your changes, then save and download the updated file. 6. Upload the modified file replacing the old one. 7. Restart your server. If you wish to reset the changes you made to this file, you can just delete it and Restart your server to generate a new file.
