As of the release of the 1.7 update, Insurgency: Sandstorm server owners have the option to alter the lighting conditions for their server allowing players to play maps in either day or night mode.
This could be a great way to diversify how maps are played, by requiring players to use night vision or flash lights due the lack of visibility during night.
Configuring Lighting Conditions
Server owners are able to select the scenario lighting, by editing the Insurgency Sandstorm Server Settings found on their control panel.
- Access your control panel and Stop your server.
- Navigate to Files > Config Files.
- Click Insurgency Sandstorm Server Settings.
- Select either Day/Night using the Scenario Lighting dropdown.
- Save and Start your server.
