How to Add a Password to your Counter Strike 2 Community Server

Passwords are the best way to keep your Counter Strike 2 server private. When a password is added to your server they require a player to enter that password when attempting to connect to the server, if they do not know the password they cannot connect.

Setting a Password

You can add a password to your server in the CS2 server settings file found in your server's control panel.

  1. Access your control panel and Stop your server.
  2. Navigate to Files > Config Files.
  3. Click CS2 Server Settings.
  4. Locate the Password option and enter your desired password.
  5. Save and Start your server.
