SpongeForge is a Forge mod based on SpongeAPI that lets you use Sponge plugins in your modded server.
In this tutorial, we will show you have to install SpongeForge on your Forge server:
- If you haven't yet, you need to install Forge on your server. You may follow our guide here: How to Install Minecraft Forge
When selecting a Forge version, it is ideal to install the recommended version shown on the SpongeForge download page. Below shows how to identify the recommended Forge version for a specific SpongeForge build.
- Download the appropriate version of SpongeForge for your Forge version: https://www.spongepowered.org/downloads/spongeforge/
- Upload your recently downloaded SpongeForge jar file (
spongeforge-1.12.2-XXXX-X.X.X.jar) into the mods folder of your server.
- Restart your server to complete the installation of SpongeForge.
