Warning: You cannot change the difficulty of an existing Core Keeper world. Instead, you will need to create a new world with “Hard Mode” enabled.
Core Keeper has an optional difficulty setting named Hard Mode that will make the game more challenging. Hard mode can only be turned on when creating a new world; you cannot switch between difficulties in the same world.
Changing Your Game Mode via Server Settings
- Log in to your control panel and Stop your server.
- Navigate to Files > Backup and press the Start button to start backing up your server files.
- Navigate to Files > FTP Access and log in.
- Click the Edit button to the right of the
corekeeper.propertiesfile.
- Change the
world_mode=setting to1, then press Save.
- To apply these changes and enable Hard Mode, you’ll need to reset your world.
- Start your server.
To undo any changes you make while changing your server’s mode to Hard Mode, you can restore the backup.
