How to Set Yourself as an Owner on your Astroneer server

An Astroneer server Owner has access to a range of administration options such as adding players to the whitelist of the server, enabling creative mode, setting a password and tons more. All of this can be done by the Owner while in-game although changes such as a set password will only remain until the server is restarted. If you wish to make permanent changes you will need to do this in your server's Astroneer Server Settings file.

Setting a Server Owner

A server owner can be set in your server's control panel.

  1. Access your control panel and Stop your server.
  2. Navigate to Files > Config Files.
  3. Click Astroneer Server Settings.
  4. In the Owner Name field enter your Steam Name.
  5. Click Save and Start your server.
  6. Join your server with the Steam name you entered in step 4.
