Most of Astroneer's server settings are located inside the Astroneer Server Settings on your server's control panel. It is possible to change your server name, description, password, max players and much more all in one place.
Note: Before making any changes to your server config, ensure that you Stop your server & Start it once the changes have been saved.
Accessing your Server Settings
Most of your server's settings are easily accessed using your server's control panel.
- Access your control panel.
- Navigate to Files > Config Files.
- Click Astroneer Server Settings.
Configuring Your Server Settings
Now that you have access to your server settings, you can make any required changes. The table below describes all of the available server settings.

Automatic Updates | steam_updates | Enabled | Controls if your server will automatically update alongside Steam updates. Accepted values are Enabled or Disabled . |
Server Name | server_name | A Shockbyte Server | Controls the name of your server. Any values are accepted. |
Server Password | ServerPassword | Assigns a password to your server. Any value is accepted. | |
Owner Name | owner_name | Assigns a server owner based on their Steam name. | |
Active Save | ActiveSaveFileDescriptiveName | Sets the currently used world save. | |
Steam Beta |
steam_beta | Allows you to select a Steam beta. |
