How to Change your Conan Exiles Server Difficulty

There are three available difficulties for Conan Exiles server - Civilized (Easy), Decadent (Normal) and Barbaric (Hard). The easiest way to change your server's difficulty is using the in-game admin menu.

Note: In order to access the admin menu you will need to be set as an administrator.

Using the Admin Menu

Once you've connected to your server as an administrator it is possible to change your server's difficulty preset in the General tab of the admin menu.

  1. Press the escape key then click Settings.
  2. Click Server Settings.
  3. Click your desired difficulty.
  4. Click OK and then press Yes to confirm your change.

You have now successfully changed the difficulty of your Conan Exiles server. As your Admin password has now been reset, you will need to set a new one. We have another article that will walk you through the entire process here.
