How to Add a GSLT Token to your Euro Truck Simulator 2 Server (ETS2 & ATS)

A GSLT Key acts as a layer of security for your server whilst verifying the server's ownership to prevent fake servers from filling server lists.

Why GSLT Keys Are Required

Many games require you to have what is known as a Game Server Login Token to run your server. This is done to ensure that real people create servers and to hold accountability to the owner if those servers violate the game's Server's Terms of Service.

Important: In regards to Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator, a GSLT key is required in order for your server's Session Search ID to remain the same through server restarts.

To be able to generate a GSLT, you must have a Steam account which:

If your server is found to be breaking Valve's ToS, the server and your linked Steam account may be banned by Valve.

How to Obtain a GSLT Key

If you have a Steam account that meets Valve's requirements, a GSLT can easily be obtained using the Steam website.

  1. Log in to the Steam Community website.
  2. Navigate to Steam Game Servers Account.
  3. You can now enter the App ID depending on the Truck Simulator you are playing.
    1. ETS2 - 227300
    2. ATS - 270880
  4. Optionally add a note then click Create.
  5. Your GSLT key is the Login Token that will appear.

Adding a GSLT Key to your Server

Now that your GSLT Token has been generated, you can add it to your server.

  1. Access your control panel and Stop your server.
  2. Navigate to Files > Config Files.
  3. Click Truck Simulator Server Settings.
  4. Locate the Server Token field, and enter your GSLT Key.
  5. Save and Start your server.
