How to Disable Name Tags on your Euro Truck Simulator 2 Server (ETS2 & ATS)

By default in Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator, name tags are displayed above player trucks. Server owners may want to disable this feature to prevent name tags from being shown on passing trucks to make the experience more immersive.

Disabling Name Tags

Name Tags can be disabled quickly by setting the option Name Tags to Disabled using the Multicraft control panel.

  1. Access your control panel and Stop your server.
  2. Navigate to Files > Config Files.
  3. Click Truck Simulator Server Settings.
  4. Set the Name Tags dropdown to Disabled.
  5. Click Save and Start your server.
