How to Pause your Necesse Server when no Players are Online

When there are no players connected to your Necesse server, some players may find it beneficial to pause server progress.

Having auto-pause enabled may help prevent NPCs from dying to hostile mobs while no one is around, for example.

Enabling Auto-Pause

To enable auto-pause, you must enable the appropriate setting in the Necesse Server Settings.

  1. Access your control panel and Stop your server.
  2. Navigate to Files > Config Files.
  3. Click Necesse Server Settings.
  4. Locate the Pause When Empty option, and set it to Enabled.
  5. Save and Start your server.
