How to Set the MOTD on your Necesse Server

The Necesse MOTD (message of the day) allows server owners and administrators to configure a welcome message when players join. This can be useful to communicate community links such as Discord invites, and website advertisements.

Changing the Server MOTD

To change your server MOTD you should change the relevant field in your Necesse Server Settings.

  1. Access your control panel and Stop your server.
  2. Navigate to Files > Config Files.
  3. Click Necesse Server Settings.
  4. Configure the MOTD field to your desired message.
  5. Save and Start your server.
