Uploading your existing Necesse save from another server or single-player will allow you to continue your world's progress on a Shockbyte server with friends. To do this you will need to locate and upload your existing worlds save folder.
Locating Local Save Files
Before you can upload your single-player world to your server, you will need to locate your single-player save files.
- Press
WIN
+R
to open the Windows Run application. - Copy, paste and enter
%APPDATA%/Necesse
. - Open the saves folder.
- Locate your world's .zip file and extract it.
Installing an Existing World
Once you have located your world's save files, you will need to upload them to your server's save folder via FTP.
Afterwards, you will need to configure your Necesse Server Settings to reflect the new world name.
- Access your server files via FTP, we recommend using Filezilla.
- Navigate to the
/saves/
directory. - Upload the unzipped world folder.
- Access your control panel and Stop your server.
- Navigate to Files > Config Files.
- Click Necesse Server Settings.
- Change the World Name field to the name of your newly uploaded world.
- Save and Start your server.
