Stardew Valley server administrators have access to a large range of commands that are integral to running a multiplayer server such as creating and destroying other players' cabins, kicking/banning players and host commands.

By default, the first player to join a farm will be made an Administrator, however, this can be disabled.

# Make the First Player to Join an Admin

When your server starts, if this option is enabled, the first person to join will be given admin permissions. After that player is given their permissions, this configuration option sets itself back to false but can be used again at any time!

  1. Access your control panel and Stop your server.
  2. Navigate to Config. Stardew Valley server with the Config button highlighted
  3. Click Stardew Valley Farm Settings. Stardew Valley server with the Stardew Valley Farm Settings selected
  4. Set the Assign Admin to First Player field to enabled. Stardew Valley server config enabling the first connection to become admin
  5. Click Save and Start your server.

After your server finishes starting, the first player to log in will be granted administrator permissions.

# Adding Additional Admins In-Game

The easiest way to add an admin is by using the !admin host command. Players can also be removed from the admin list using !unadmin.

  1. Connect to the server as an Admin.
  2. Enter the !admin command followed by the player's name into chat. Stardew valley giving a server admin privileges
  3. Press Enter.

If successful, the following ServerBot message will be sent: Stardew valley server making player admin
