Astroneer is a very cooperative PvE game, where working closely with fellow players is key to exploring the world around you. As a result, you may want to secure your server to only allow people you trust to join it. Enabling a whitelist will stop uninvited players from joining your server.
In order to enable a whitelist and add players to it, you will need to be the server's owner.
# Enabling a Whitelist
Your server's whitelist can be enabled while in-game by using the Server Admin menu.
- Press
ESCto open the in-game menu. - Click the Server Admin icon.
- Check the Allow Only Whitelisted Players To Join box.
# Adding Players to Whitelist
Once you have enabled whitelisting, you will need to allow certain players to join. This can be done from the same Server Admin menu.
- Click Add Player To Whitelist.
- Enter the player's Steam name, then click Whitelist Player.
